Direct Access Scheme (DAS)

Please note that NO bookings will be taken until proof of a Motorcycle Theory Test pass is provided.

To undertake DAS training with Ace Moto Training you will need to have completed the following. 1. CBT 2. Motorcycle Theory Test.

April 27th 2009 saw the introduction of the new motorcycle test. This is a two module test. Module One will be conducted at the Multi Purpose Test Centres in Kings Lynn and Peterborough. Module Two will still be conducted in Boston. A Module One pass will be valid for the length of your Motorcycle theory pass and must be completed prior to taking Module Two. All other licencing regulations remain the same.

Have a look at the official DSA channel on YouTube, this details all parts of the Module 1 Motorcycle test which includes the 'Dreaded' Hazard Avoidance Exercise......its not as scary as it sounds!

Direct Access training allows a person over the age of 21 to avoid the two year 33bhp/25kw restriction by conducting the practical motorcycle test on a machine of at least 35 kw (46.6 bhp). The HONDA CBF 500 and KAWASAKI ER5's used by Ace Moto Training are a gentle introduction to the world of larger capacity machines. Passing your test on these bikes allows you to ride any motorcycle currently in production.

Those were the days..

Have the kids have flown the nest? Something you should have done years ago? Thinking back to the days when you and your mates were flying round on Yamaha 'FIZZY's, HONDA SS50's or even a PUCH MAXI with the wind in your hair and not a care in the world, but then petrol was 32p a gallon!

Dont think about it! Do it!

Life is not a rehearsal! The most common phrase we hear is ' I wish I had done this years ago'... if you want it, go and get it. Come down for a chat, we will show you around the bikes, maybe even rekindle an old desire!

 Refresher Sessions

Todays motorcycles are a masterpiece of modern technology; lean, mean, the handling is fantastic and they accelerate and stop very rapidly! More than can be said of some of the bikes back 'in the day'. Handling skills are vitally important; refresher sessions are designed to reawaken and sharpen your senses and skills, blowing away the cobwebs after years of being stuck behind the wheel of a 4 wheeled vehicle. You will learn new skills, which will make you safer, more confident, allowing you to enjoy your modern machines superior abilities.
