Direct Access Scheme (DAS)
 

Please note that NO bookings will be taken until proof of Motorcycle Theory Test pass is provided.  

The clock is ticking!

In order to take DAS training with Ace Moto Training you will need to have passed the following and have proof of passing. 1. CBT 2.Motorcycle Theory Test

October 2008 will see the introduction of the new style practical motorcycle test. This will include an 'Off Road' section before proceeding on the road. you will have to train longer and travel further to complete your practical motorcycle test.

If you feel the U turn is hard work...then just think about the following.

1. Machine handling/maneouvering 2.Riding through slalom of cones 3.Figure of eight 4.50kph (31mph) Hazard avoidance exercise. 5.Slow speed ride. 6.The dreaded U turn 7. Emergency stop. CHECK IT OUT

Direct Access training allows a person over the age of 21 to avoid the two year 33bhp/25kw restriction by conducting the practical motorcycle test on a machine of at least 35 kw (46.6 bhp). The HONDA CBF 500 and KAWASAKI ER5's used by ACE Moto Training are a gentle introduction to the world of larger capacity machines. A pass allows you to ride any bike in current production.
 
Motorcycle Theory Test
 

Car driver, LGV driver, PCV driver for years? Sorry, it counts for nothing. In order to pass your motorcycle practical test you MUST sucessfully complete the motorcycle theory test. This test consists of 50 questions on the highway code and 15 hazard perception video clips. See the link below or logon to www.dsa.gov.uk for more details.

If you have not had chance to study for the theory tests or don’t have access to a PC, come down and practice on our dedicated PC in preparation for your motorcycle theory test, in comfortable, friendly surroundings. Try an online practice session

Normally, Ace Moto Direct Access 5 day courses run from SUN -THURS; 4 day courses run from MON-THURS; All times 0900-1600 unless otherwise stated. However, due to demand, over the summer/autumn period, DAS courses will be available over some weekends, but the 4 day courses will include a Friday or Monday, one call will reveal all!

 Refresher Sessions

 
Todays sports bikes are masterpieces of modern technology; lean, mean, they go round corners and can accelerate and stop very quickly! More than can be said of some of the bikes in 'the day'. Training is vitally important; refresher sessions are designed to reawaken and sharpen your senses and skills, blowing away the cobwebs after years of being stuck behind the wheel. You might even learn some new skills, which will make you safer, more confident, allowing you to enjoy your modern machine.
